520 _aABSTRACT The present study was focused on survey for the incidence of market diseases, isolation, cultural and morphological characterization, in vitro analysis of effective biocontrol agents and botanicals, management of market diseases under laboratory condition. The highest disease incidence was observed in Keshwapur vegetable market with the mean disease incidence of 44.00 per cent and least was recorded in local market Hubballi (4.67 %). From the tissue isolation technique, Colletotrichum capsici (chilli), Colletotrichum coccodes (tomato), Fusarium sp. (carrot) and Helminthosporium sp. (tomato) were isolated. C. capsici produced white to dark grey colored mycelia, C. coccodes produced slight cottony white mycelia. Fusarium sp. produced white to pale salmon-colored mycelia. Likewise, Helminthosporium sp. produced grey to blackish brown colored mycelia.Under in vitro condition Trichoderma harzianum (market sample) and azadirachtin 10,000 ppm (1 %) were found effective against C. capsici, with per cent mycelial inhibition of 76.65 and 82.82 per cent respectively. Trichoderma harzianum (MH027645.1) and combination of six herbal mixture (perfekt @ 1%) were found effective against C. coccodes and Fusarium sp. with 77.11, 88.11, 72.06 and 94.59 per cent respectively. T. harzianum (market sample) and combination of six herbal mixture (perfekt @ 1%) were found effective against Helmithosporium sp. with 79.33 and 100 per cent mycelial inhibition respectively. These effective treatments were further evaluated under laboratory condition by spraying and dipping methods for the disease management. Among them dipping in azadirachtin 10,000 ppm (1.00 %) for 30 min. was showed lowest per cent disease index of about 20.26 against C. capsici. Dipping in combination of six herbal mixture (perfekt @ 1.00 %) for 30 min. was found effective against C. coccodes, Fusarium sp. and Helminthosporium sp. with 26.56, 23.09 and 17.62 per cent disease index respectively.
